A 2016 UNC Chapel Hill graduate (Go Heels!), I love educating my patients so we can make treatment decisions together.
Outside the office, I’m a busy mom to three beautiful children—Judah, Canaan, and Finley Grace—and wife to a local oral surgeon. You’ll often find me at CrossFit 926, attending Christ Community Church, or cheering on my favorite sports teams.

Never in my life did I plan to be a business owner, but here I am, proud to own Anchored Family Dental in Davidson, NC. About a year and a half ago, I felt God calling me to step out and start my own office after eight years as an associate. Trusting His plan, I took the leap, and this beautiful office became my new home and adventure.
My heart is to bless every patient who walks through our doors, creating a welcoming space where they feel at home and cared for. The name Anchored Family Dental reflects the Lake Norman area we serve, my hope for patients to find their forever dental home here, and the assurance of Hebrews 6:19—that we have a sure and confident hope in Jesus.

How long does a first dental appointment at Anchored Family Dental take?
Your first appointment is designed to be thorough, not rushed. Dr. Munson takes time to review your health history, gather diagnostic records including X-rays and intraoral photos, perform a complete oral exam, and have a real conversation about your dental health and goals. Plan for a full appointment — because you deserve more than a 10-minute checkup.
Do I need dental insurance to become a patient at Anchored Family Dental?
No insurance? No problem. Anchored Family Dental welcomes uninsured patients and offers an in-house Wellness Membership Plan starting at $375/year for children and $450/year for adults. Plans include preventive visits, X-rays, an emergency exam, and 15% off additional treatment. HSA and FSA payments are accepted. Ask our team about enrollment when you call.
Your First Visit
At your first visit, Dr. Munson will perform a thorough Comprehensive Oral Examination. She takes time to get to know you, review your medical and dental history, and gather detailed information. This includes digital X-rays, intraoral photos, a hard and soft tissue exam, and an oral cancer screening.
Based on the findings, we’ll recommend the appropriate type of cleaning to meet your needs. If periodontal (gum) disease is present, a specialized cleaning may be scheduled for a later visit. Dr. Munson will discuss any concerns in detail, providing education and answering all your questions.
